CSP TODAY - January 28 2011

CSP Today speaks to Kevin Sara, founder and managing director of CSP developer, Nur Energie, about the logistics of developing CSP plants in the Greek islands, and to get the latest update on its plans to build a mega 2GW CSP plant in Tunisia.

This week, Nur-MOH SA, a joint venture between CSP developer Nur Energie and Greek energy heavyweight Motor Oil (Helas), was given the green light by Greek regulatory authorities to build a 38MW CSP plant on the island of Crete. The project, which will deploy BrightSource Energy’s LPT 500 technology, is poised to be the largest CSP tower installation in Europe.
