Title: Kevin Sara presents at the World Policy Conference

Kevin Sara, Founder and CEO of Nur Energie Ltd, an independent solar power plant developer, presented at the sixth edition of the World Policy Conference, which took place from 13th to 15th December 2013, in Monaco.

The World Policy Conference (WPC), launched by Institut français des relations internationales (Ifri) at the end of 2007, is the first effort at a systematic assessment of the organisation of world governance that would respond to the realities of the 21st century. It brings together top-level decision-makers, researchers and opinion leaders. The main topics of the sixth edition of the WPC included global economic governance, energy and the environment, international finance and food safety.

Kevin was a speaker in the energy and environment workshop along with Jun Arima; Director General of JETRO London and Special Adviser for Global environmental Affairs at METI, André Caillé; Director of Junex in Canada, Maria van der Hoeven, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA) and William Ramsay, Senior Advisor of the Center for Energy at Ifri and former Deputy Executive Director of IEA. The workshop was chaired by Christophe de Margerie, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Total and moderated by Cécile Maisonneuve; Director of the Centre for Energy at Ifri.

In his presentation, Kevin explained that CSP with thermal storage is the ultimate solution to implement the energy revolution and address the problem of climate change. The application of CSP technology can be centralized via solar export projects from Sunbelt countries to high energy consumers via well proven high-voltage DC cable technology, and can also be scaled down to implement distributed generation.
